About me

An adventurer, a traveller, a planet saver.... temporarily occupying the body of a stay-at-home Mum. Not a hippy Mum, certainly not a Gina Ford Mum, a sort of average, open to ideas Mum.

I have always been fascinated by other countries and other cultures, and so when it came to choosing a degree subject the obvious choice was Anthropology (excellent). I had a slight lapse in concentration afterwards and found myself working and qualifying as an accountant (not so excellent), but got things back on track with a year abroad followed by a position with an international NGO, WaterAid in London (excellent), until finally the babies came along....

These days in between loading the dishwasher and hanging up the washing, I get my kicks from reading about other peoples’ fascinating lives, and from the sweet faces of my three children.
